KOMET USA, Rock Hill, SC, has introduced a new Soft Cutter (SC1). According to the company, the device is suitable for detailed acrylic work, including the removal of excess marginal material from orthodontic appliances and detailed trimming around wire elements.
The Soft Cutter can be used for work in transitional areas between metal and acrylics. It is engineered from a material that is softer than metal, which helps prevent damage to both metal and acrylic.
