Planmeca, Helsinki, Finland, announced that the Planmeca Emerald™ intraoral scanner can now be used for producing orthocaps® aligners. Ortho Caps GmbH, Hamm, Germany, manufactures and markets the clear orthocaps aligners for teenagers and adults.
After the orthodontist scans the upper and lower arches, as well as the patient’s bite, with the Planmeca Emerald intraoral scanner, the scans can be sent directly to Ortho Caps for the design and manufacture of the orthocaps aligners.
