According to the company, with an optimal surface area, Precision Aligner Buttons are less susceptible to breakage and detachment from elastic pull. The shape of the base pad is designed to precisely fit the aligner cutout windows and is countered to fit comfortably against the gumline. These features are intended to reduce unnecessary emergency visits for patients while saving orthodontists chair time.
The patent-pending design was developed by Drs Christopher Cetta and Richard Kaye.
