In this episode, we look at the ADA’s new interim guidance for practices that are planning to reopen soon. Infection control and prevention expert Jackie Dorst, RDH, BS, discuses the recommendations on how to handle patients and employee safety, including delegating team members who have recovered from the virus to assist with procedures that generate aerosols and how staff can avoid taking the virus home at the end of the workday. She also discusses patient scheduling and managing PPE usage, as well as the role of UV light for disinfection in the office. In closing, Dorst offers some welcome-back strategies for practices that may be opening in the coming weeks. OP
