Discus Dental Acquires ZAP Lasers

Discus Dental LLC, Culver City, Calif, has acquired ZAP Lasers LLC, Pleasant Hill, Calif. Discus will integrate ZAP’s research and development and manufacturing functions into their Southern California operations. In addition, Discus has acquired all other company assets, including ZAP’s intellectual property.

The move allows Discus to expand distribution of its full line of soft-tissue diode lasers to such countries as Korea and Taiwan. The full line of Discus laser products includes the NV™ Microlaser, NV Ortho™, SoftLase Pro^®, OrthoLase^®, and HygieneLase^®.

All products will be manufactured and sold under the Discus Dental brand globally.
