Ormco Corp has released a suite of upgrades to its Approver software for the Spark Clear Aligner system, along with an improved case management portal. According to the company, both the portal and the Approver platform upgrades are designed to help provide a better user experience for the doctor and the team.
Responding to user feedback, Ormco updated the Spark Portal to include a case archiving feature so doctors can keep all Spark cases in one place with notes, a support notification system, and a searchable patient note feature for in-office communication and customization. The upgrade also provides users with additional tooth movement options, including a new hinge rotation movement, and greater flexibility with features such as multiple tooth numbering system options, a 3D occlusal tool, and tooth movement table.
In addition to these features and tools aimed at streamlining workflow and case management, Ormco announced two new scanner partnerships. The first partnership with 3Shape integrates the 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanner with the Spark Case Portal, allowing doctors to directly access their scans through the portal. The second partnership with Medit adds the company’s Medit i500 scanner to the current list of validated scanners.
