3Shape, Copenhagen, Denmark, will showcase a number of its systems at the upcoming Greater New York Dental Meeting. Among the systems that will be featured are the company’s new 3Shape TRIOS 3 Wireless intraoral scanner, the 3Shape TRIOS Treatment Simulator, and the 3Shape TRIOS Patient Specific Motion tool.
The 3Shape TRIOS 3 Wireless is the newest version of the company’s five-time winner of the Cellerant “Best of Class” Award for intraoral scanners. With no cable needed to connect the scanner wand to the computer, users can move freely throughout the practice. The 3Shape TRIOS 3 Wireless features the same speed, real-color, and accuracy capabilities of all TRIOS scanners.
TRIOS features an open ecosystem, connecting users to a wide selection of orthodontic solution providers like Invisalign, dental laboratories, and manufacturing systems and materials.
Meanwhile, the 3Shape TRIOS Treatment Simulator is designed to drive patient treatment acceptance. The simulator shows patients the envisioned results of their orthodontic treatment. Patients see their current teeth alignment change into the ideal setup, on screen and in full color.
The TRIOS Treatment Simulator is an open solution, according to the company, and can be used to simulate treatment with any of the more than 25 orthodontic treatment providers TRIOS connects to—including Invisalign, ClearCorrect, and bracket systems like Incognito.
3Shape TRIOS Treatment Simulator is a free upgrade as part of CliniCare for all 3Shape TRIOS users.
With the 3Shape TRIOS Patient Specific Motion tool, users can now scan and record the patient’s dynamic articulation. According to the company, while it was previously possible to capture static occlusion and contact points to allow a virtual articulation to mimic and approximate the jaw movement, with the TRIOS Patient Specific Motion tool, users can record a patient’s real articulation. This enables technicians to adjust orthodontic treatments based on the recorded patient’s articulation.
3Shape TRIOS Patient Specific Motion is also a free upgrade as part of CliniCare for all 3Shape TRIOS users.
