Orthodontic Products will host a free webinar on increasing practice profitability with 3D printing in December.

While producing aligners in-house can significantly reduce costs to your practice, making the transition can be daunting and challenging. This webinar, led by Scott Frey, DDS, MSD, sets out to help you understand which orthodontic 3D printing applications to focus on and how to design and set up your floor plan.

Frey will teach attendees which types of clear aligner cases are the easiest to 3D print in-house, when to expect payback periods, and what you need operationally to efficiently scale.

This 3D printing webinar will teach you:

  • Formulas to operate a lean digital lab
  • The specific number of prints it takes for a desktop 3D printer to pay for itself
  • How to design the floor plan for your digital lab to isolate workstations and avoid unexpected issues

Frey, who is in private practice at Hatcher & Frey Orthodontics in Chesapeake, Va, obtained his post-doctoral master’s degree and completed his certification in orthodontics at the University of Colorado. He is board certified in orthodontics, a published scientific author, and an international authority and lecturer on Invisalign and esthetic orthodontics.

Joining Frey for the webinar will be Faris Sheikh, a 3D printing specialist with Formlabs, the sponsor of this webinar. Sheikh has helped Formlabs run over 40 live broadcasts around the world to educate over 21,000 engineers, manufacturers, dentists, and jewelers on how to successfully incorporate Formlabs products into their day-to-day workflows. Previously, Sheikh most notably ran an online technology show on hardware and software products totaling over 2 million global views.

The webinar will take place Wednesday, December 4 at 8 pm ET.
