henry_schein_orthodontics_symposiumHenry Schein® Orthodontics, Carlsbad, Calif, announced its Orthodontic Excellence and Technology Symposium will be held February 21 to 23, 2019, in San Diego, Calif, at the iconic Hotel de Coronado Resort.

The symposium will focus on the evidence-based Sagittal First™ Philosophy powered by the Carriere® Motion 3D™ Appliances, feature the latest tools and technologies to help operate a more efficient and productive orthodontic practice, and raise awareness about solutions that can help make a total health difference in patients’ lives. In addition, the symposium will showcase the clinical results of the new SLX™ Clear Aligner System, as well as speakers presenting innovative concepts to help diagnose and establish treatment plans, and explore strategies with industry leaders that aim to increase clinical efficiency and help deliver more optimal results for patients.

New this year, participants will have the option to attend a pre-symposium workshop. Attendees may choose to register for one of three 4-hour workshops that will take place on the afternoon of February 21.

Dr David Paquette, Henry Schein Orthodontics’ lead clinical advisor, is the program chair. Dr Luis Carrière will be the keynote speaker. Carrière will focus on evidence-based clinical solutions for the treatment of complex Class II and Class III cases. Joining Paquette and Carrière as featured speakers are Drs John Graham and Jep Paschal.

Additional speakers, with more speakers to be announced, include Drs Ana-Maria Cantor, Sean Carlson, Lou Chmura, Mario Chorak, Christy Fortney, Scott Frey, Glenn Krieger, Bruce McFarlane, Mike Ragan, Thomas Shipley, and Norihide Tsubura. Orthodontic consultant Rosemary Bray will also speak at the symposium.

The symposium’s exhibition area will offer a broad spectrum of innovations and new clinical solutions, focusing on the integrated processes of the digital workflow, including intraoral scanning, CBCT imaging, clinical orthodontic planning, and 3D printing. In addition, attendees will have access to several networking opportunities.
