Carestream Dental, Atlanta, has opened registration for its 2017 Global Oral Health Summit. The 2-day education event takes place November 10 to 12, 2017, in Orlando, Fla. According to the company, the event builds on last year’s event in Las Vegas, which combined Carestream Dental’s three separate user meetings of the past into one event.

Courses at the Summit will focus on the latest industry trends and innovations in diagnostic techniques. Carestream Dental trainers will also lead hands-on courses specifically designed for CS OrthoTrac, CS PracticeWorks, CS SoftDent, CS WinOMS, and imaging software. Courses range from entry/intermediate to advanced.

The Summit is open to both Carestream Dental users and non-users. Geared toward clinical and front office team members, the Summit is open to specialties in orthodontics, endodontics, general dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, pedodontics, periodontics, and prosthodontics. While there are specific tracks based on specialty available at the Summit, Carestream Dental encourages attendees to pick and choose courses that best fit their learning requirements and goals.

The Summit will open with a keynote address from Ryan Estis, a former Fortune 500 executive and agent of change. Estis teaches audiences how to build high-trust, high-value relationships; connect employees to a shared vision and set of values; and effectively use emerging technology to improve communication, culture, and work life. Public speaker and cancer-awareness advocate Eva Grayzel also returns to share her powerful story of overcoming stage IV oral cancer. Grayzel closed last year’s Summit with her engaging, interactive presentation that received high praise from attendees who were moved by her inspiring story.

A number of networking and social events will also take place during the Summit, including a formal networking lunch, poolside opening reception and laser light show, as well as Latin dance-inspired workout session and 5K around the hotel grounds. For attendees that arrive in Orlando early, a service project in conjunction with Clean the World will bring attendees together over breakfast Friday morning to assemble hygiene kits that will be provided to underprivileged members of the Orlando community.

The Summit will also host a number of technology exhibitors, including Carestream Dental partners. Carestream Dental product experts will also be on-hand throughout the event to answer questions.
