3M Oral Care, St Paul, Minn, has introduced the 3M Mobile True Definition Scanner—a tablet-based intraoral scanner designed to fit in the user’s hand.
Similar to tablets patients and clinicians use in their daily lives, the 3M Mobile True Definition Scanner platform allows clinicians to move freely between operatories without power cords or carts.
Equipped with flexible mounting options, the system can minimize workspace clutter and allow for easier maneuverability in small spaces. The tablet, which operates on battery, can even be placed in the patient’s hands, allowing them to see first-hand the digital visualization of their oral anatomy and to better understand proposed treatments.
The mobile scanner is priced at $16,995.
