WildSmiles Inc, Omaha, Neb, recently announced the recipient of their fall 2018 resident scholarship; the company awards two $1,000 scholarships annually to current residents attending accredited orthodontic residency programs.
Heather Chiarello, DMD, is the recipient of the company’s scholarship from their fall 2018 deadline. Chiarello is currently a resident at the University of Pennsylvania and will graduate in August 2019.
Chiarello attended the University of Notre Dame as a physics and chemistry double major, graduating in 2013. After receiving her DMD from the University of Pennsylvania, her physics background led her to pursue a career in orthodontics.
Through this scholarship, WildSmiles, makers of DesignerBraces, asks orthodontic residents to share ideas about patient engagement and care during the orthodontic treatment experience.
