Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and CareCapital Advisors Limited (part of Hillhouse Capital Management) completed the previously announced acquisition of Carestream Dental, Atlanta, the dental digital business of Carestream Health. With the carve-out transaction, Carestream Dental becomes an independent global company, wholly owned by CD&R and Hillhouse/CareCapital funds.
Lisa Ashby will continue as Carestream Dental’s chief executive officer. John Dineen, CD&R operating advisor and former CEO of GE’s healthcare business, has assumed the role of chairman of the Carestream Dental Board.
