Biolux Research, Vancouver, Canada, has announced the expansion of its North American sales force as part of the next phase of OrthoPulse® sales and commercialization efforts. Three new territory managers have joined Biolux.

Based in California, Kerry Farrell will be the western territory manager and responsible for the West Coast and surrounding states. Bryson Johnston, based in Texas, is joining Biolux as territory manager for the southern United States. Jason Mayer will be territory manager for the East Coast, covering New York, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts, as well as the rest of the region.

According to a press release from the company, all three territory managers come to Biolux with extensive orthodontic sales experience, each having worked for more than 10 years in the orthodontic industry and each demonstrating skill with growing new product markets, such as Invisalign® clear aligners from San Jose, Calif-based Align Technology Inc.

OrthoPulse is a medical device that uses low levels of light energy to stimulate the bone surrounding the roots of teeth and facilitate tooth movement, thus reducing treatment time, according to the company. OrthoPulse received FDA clearance in July 2015 and is cleared by the FDA for use with both braces and clear aligners. The device is designed to be used by patients at home on a daily basis for a total of 10 minutes.
