Carestream Dental, Atlanta, has partnered with Aspen Dental, Syracuse, NY, to provide equipment for the Aspen Dental MouthMobile – a fully equipped dental office on wheels that provides free dental care and oral health education to communities across the country.
All of the imaging equipment on board the MouthMobile was donated by Carestream Dental to support Aspen Dental’s Healthy Mouth Movement, an initiative designed to provide free dental services, including x-rays, fillings, and extractions to people in need.
The donated products include one of Carestream Dental’s award-winning CS 8100 panoramic systems, two sizes of RVG 6100 sensors (1 and 2), a CS 2200 intraoral x-ray system, and imaging software to complement the equipment.
“By supporting the Healthy Mouth Movement, we’re stepping up to help spread awareness about the importance of oral health,” said Marc Gordon, general manager of US equipment and software for Carestream Dental. “We’re proud to do our part by donating tools and equipment so these dedicated volunteers can provide the best dental care possible for those who need it most.”
The MouthMobile will start its tour in the southeast with stops in Atlanta, and Orlando and Tampa, Fla, before making its way across the country throughout the spring and summer months.
