The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) is headed to New York City’s Fashion Week for its first ever pop-up event, “Your Smile Is Your Best Fashion Accessory”™ on Wednesday, September 7, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Shops at Columbus Circle at the Time Warner Center. According to a press release, the AAO aims to break new ground with this open to the public event designed to link fashion with the lifelong benefits of a healthy, beautiful smile created in concert with orthodontists.
In conjunction with the event, the AAO has introduced a new mobile app, allowing doctors, patients, and the public to join the fun from anywhere. The app will showcase live snippets of the event from New York City, plus fashion and grooming tips and tricks on how to create and maintain a healthy, beautiful smile.
The app can be downloaded by searching Apple or Android stores for “AAO Fashion Event” or entering the following URL into a mobile browser: https://crowd.cc/s/iN9W.
The public is invited to download the free app to receive exclusive fall fashion insights from InStyle Magazine’s Tai Beauchamp and award-winning fashion blogger Sean Phillips. Users will be able to submit questions to these fashion experts, as well as event sponsors/presenters Invisalign®, Shock Doctor, Sephora, Whole Foods, and The Art of Shaving, during the event through a Q&A button on the app. In addition, the app will facilitate real-time monitoring of the event’s social media posts.
The app includes a link to Find an Orthodontist on mylifemysmile.org. Both virtual and in-person guests can use it to locate AAO members throughout the United States, Canada, and abroad.
