The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) has negotiated with Protected Trust, Winter Haven, Fla, a security and privacy technology company specializing in HIPAA, HITECH, and other compliance requirements, to offer a group buying discount.
Protected Trust offers email encryption that can be used to send and receive any type of medical record, referral, or continuity of care document from Outlook, PCs, mobile devices, and EHR systems. Recipients are able to open the message after completing a two-step identity verification.
The AAO group buying discount includes 24/7 phone and email support for member practices, as well as access to training webinars.
