The Southern Association of Orthodontists, Atlanta, has named Brian B. Jacobus, Jr, DDS, MS, of Port St. Lucie, Fla, to serve as president-elect. Jacobus will take on the presidency in 2014.
Jacobus served for 3 years as a senior director and 3 years as delegate-at-large to the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). From 2005 to 2006, he served as president of the Florida Association of Orthodontists. Jacobus is a member of the AAO, the American Dental Association, and the Florida Dental Association.
Jacobus received his DDS from Georgetown School of Dentistry and a master's degree and certificate in orthodontics during his orthodontic residency at Georgetown in 1985. He has provided orthodontic care in the St. Lucie County area since 1988.
