Discus Dental, Culver City, Calif, introduces Hero™, a new pit and fissure sealant featuring Embrace™ technology, which allows it to bond to slightly moist teeth. Hero also provides a source of fluoride and is designed to remineralize teeth.
 
Hero creates a margin-free seal around pits and fissures and integrates with the tooth, creating a touch barrier against microleakage, according to the company. It contains no Bisphenol A, and can be used on pediatric patients.

Hero is available as a 2-syringe package (1.2 mL each) with 25 .22-gauge tips and a syringe (3 mL) of Discus’ Matrixx Etchant with 25 .20-gauge tips.
