Patrick Cuozzo, DDS, Director of Cuozzo Orthodontic Specialists, Monmouth County, NJ, plans to expand on the continuing education lectures he provides to dental professionals by offering a public lecture series for parents and children in the New Jersey area. Cuozzo believes such outreach efforts to organizations like the PTA not only educate parents and adolescents on how to handle common dental issues, but also provide a boost to their self-esteem by helping them develop healthy teeth and a beautiful smile.

Cuozzo, an associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, frequently lectures to dental professionals. Recently, he spoke to a group of 85 dental hygienists at the Jersey Coast Dental Forum on the best practices for oral hygiene with braces. He believes orthodontists and dental health professionals need to keep abreast of new technologies that make treatment safer and more comfortable for patients of all ages.
