#1Ortho2, Ames, Iowa, recently announced the release of its cloud?based Edge 5, the company’s latest version of its practice-management software.

This new version of Edge features deeper integration with the company’s Practice Connect mobile app and Patient Rewards feature. In addition, Edge 5 includes new features and functionality designed to optimize the efficiency of the practice.

Ortho2’s Patient Rewards feature allows users to calculate points and track rewards offered as incentive to motivate patient attendance, treatment cooperation, oral hygiene, and more. The Practice Connect app is branded with the practice name, logo, and customizable content, and it is available for both Android and iOS.

Edge 5 users can now also customize the content and layout of the home ribbon bar by including only the most frequently used icons, and making the icons larger or smaller. In addition, users can add words into custom dictionaries and use spell check in the Notepad, Treatment Hub, and Treatment Plan.

Other new features include a custom text box in the Treatment Findings for additional text for each finding and centralization of Help topics in the Home ribbon bar. From this button, users can access videos, white papers, and online help, and can contact the software support team through email.
