Henry Schein Practice Solutions Inc, Melville, NY, has forged an agreement with ClearDATA Networks Inc, Phoenix, to provide disaster recovery and HIPAA-compliant cloud solution for Henry Schein’s Dentrix Enterprise practice-management software.
According to Henry Schein, hosted application will increase uptime, enable full data backup, and disaster recovery capabilities, as well as decrease dental practice software administration. The new capability offers Dentrix Enterprise users to log in to a virtual private network and use a web browser with active directory authentication to access the software.
ClearDATA will also implement its HIPAA-compliant data backup and disaster recovery services designed to ensure health information remains secure and available to any dental practice in the cloud in the event of fire, flood, hurricane, earthquake, electrical surge, power loss, viruses, theft of computers, or other issues. ClearDATA will also provide other cloud-managed services to Henry Schein Practice Solutions.
