A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) webcast December 17, 2013, will focus on community water fluoridation.
“Community Water Fluoridation: A Vital 21st Century Public Health Intervention,” will begin at 1 pm Eastern time. The presentation will explore the public health impact of community water fluoridation, including challenges and opportunities for state and local partners. Listeners will also hear about new communications strategies to get important messages out to the communities.
The webcast is part of the CDC’s Public Health Grand Rounds, a monthly webcast created to foster discussion on major public health issues. Each session focuses on key challenges related to a specific health topic, and explores cutting-edge scientific evidence and potential impact of different interventions. The Grand Rounds sessions also highlight how CDC and its partners are already addressing these challenges and discuss the recommendations for future research and practice.
