The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) recently awarded two dental students from Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine with the 2013 ADEA/Crest Oral-B Laboratories Scholarship for Predoctoral Students Pursuing Academic Careers.
Jeffrey T. Hajibandeh and Michael C. Shapiro each received a $5,000 scholarship, which will support their academic tuition and fees. The awards were announced at the 2013 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition, held in Seattle in March.
Each year, with the support of The Procter & Gamble Company, Cincinnati, ADEA presents this scholarship to two predoctoral students who plan education beyond a doctoral degree, and who have an interest in a career in academic dentistry.
