Orascoptic, Middleton, Wis, now offers the XV1, an all-in-one wireless loupe and headlight.
All the XV1’s electronics are completely contained within its custom-built frame, leaving no visible wires or cables. In addition, the device uses rechargeable batteries and delivers up to 4,000 foot-candles of light.
The XV1 Wireless Loupe and Headlight features Capacitive Touch controls on both temple arms, eliminating the need for knobs or buttons that can harbor bacteria. The device also features a lightweight counter-balance design, making it more comfortable for all day use by the clinician, according to the company.
