RecordLinc Inc, Silicon Valley, Calif, has released an updated version of its RecordLinc communication network.
Recently dubbed the “Facebook of Dentistry” by New Dentist Magazine, RecordLinc 3.0 features over 250,000 orthodontic and dental professional profiles. It allows for patient file-sharing, electronic patient forms, practitioner collaboration, as well as orthodontist-to-dentist communication and referrals.
Version 4.0, which is currently in development, will feature new functionality around patient access to their files through a portal called MyDentalFiles. The portal will allow patients to access their images, referrals, and treatment plans. Patients will also be able to enter their dental and medical history in one electronic from that all treating orthodontic and dental professionals will be able to access.
